A Name to unite

Posted on Aug 9th, 2007 by Josef : Modan Kami Josef
I think I want to call my project to mass email congress "Risen Voices".  It has an idea of unity without suggesting they are risen in anger or for one goal but maybe for one purpose.  I think that shoudl also be the subject of the Emails when the are sent.  So I know dubb my first project Risen Voices and now follows all that i have out together for it.

I want to get a massive amount of people to email As many people in the government as they can with the same message.

Everyone will have "Risen Voices" as the subject.

Each email can consist of whatever the writer wants but must include their Full Name and the City and State they live in.  That is to ensure that only serious people participate.  I want everyone to have Pride in the fact the want change.

The emialing would take place on the first 3 days of each month.  I want to begin no later than october but will try to shoot for September.

Agian even if i am the only one doin it then i dont care. but if someone has an interest in helping let me know.

Creating an idea that can change lives...

Posted on Jul 16th, 2007 by Josef : Modan Kami Josef
so i have this idea of how to get alot of people involved in a massive campaign to amkes a statement that really requires little effort on their part....  The problem is trusting other poeple to keep their word.   There is no way to get people to actually go through with their ideas or ideals and all that since most times peopel think that "it is ok someone else will do it."  BUT NO no one else is doing anything!!!!

Is people where doing something then wouldnt more be different.  wouldnt we have a diff president wouldnt we not be in a war
wouldnt we actually be hearin from all the people that were against the war still?  or are the not american any more since they didnt like the president;s idea...?

So I want to create A web page that makes it simple for peopel to interact and help make a difference.  would it have to include an easy way to get ti done and a note on how you have to do it to make a change and not relie on others?  Do i ahve to be so blatant and basic for it to matter?

I have alot of ideas for it but it jsut would bea waste if it all flopped due to no interest..  but is it better that i try even if i am the only one that participates?

oh well....

Global warming concerts and the crap on MSNBC

Posted on Jul 6th, 2007 by Josef : Modan Kami Josef
first i am rather sure that nbc seems rather rightest....

I want to start writng atleast once a week on a news issue i see on the tube here.

So first i had no idea that there was such a thing as "global warming alarmists."  But apparently that is what Al gore is ...  Now i get that having a hugh bash to raise awareness about  being green is  well... ... ... (retarded..no noo) hyposcritical.  But in a way it is the only way to get the message out.  Now to deny that there is "global climate change" would be dumb.  To say not to worry is also an issue.  I think like in most things that people need to be aware of the possibilities of what could happen so they can make a choice about what they want to be done.  That would be uhhhh a republic.  right?

Now i guess this one is kinda short but look for more commentaries by me.

And remember the best place for the new just might be the daily show with john stewart.

too much thinking...

Cayce_c
So... There was this girl i met.  She was kool and i havent talked to her in awhiile... I never really took the time to think about people in my life that werent constantly there.  And now she is dead... I really didnt know her well.  She was a friend of a friend.  But she was only 19.  Her and her boyfirend and another were hit by a Truck, a 16-wheeler.  Now they are all gone, unable to laugh or cry, to influence others lives continually.  And it makes me sad that people that, even if i didnt know well, I knew they could make a difference, i knew they could do alot to help if not the world then some one's personal world.  In a way they have still but for it to be by such a sad event... I know that it is best to look to the future and to comfort those most affected by the loss... But at the same time we cant help but to think about our own mortallity... If there is something more after life then I know that Cayce, Ben, and  Joe are definately somewhere good, if not hopefully better.

Bill Maher New rules...

     May 18 2007

New Rule: Cruise ships have to be renamed "floating death traps." If your friends could see you now, they'd turn away in horror as sharks devour your carcass and then develop some strange virus that no one has ever heard of.

New Rule: If Mitt Romney wants respect for the Mormon religion, he has to start wearing a funny hat. Orthodox Jews? Crazy, but they wear funny hats, so you can't diss them. Sikhs. I'm not even sure they're a religion, but I know better than to mess with the hat. The Pope. What does that hat even mean? "I'm infallible"? "I'm a sailboat"?

I know it would look weird if Mitt Romney suddenly started wearing a fuchsia pink fire helmet--[slide shown of Romney with fire helmet superimposed]--but, what the hell? He's changed everything else.

New Rule: There's no such thing as a "green" shopping mall. Developers in Chicago are building the first "environmentally sensitive" mall. Yes, nothing says "I care about the planet" quite like a vast, air-conditioned temple to disposable consumerism. Surrounded by 300 acres of concrete. "Look, honey, the Wetzel's Pretzel has organic salt!" Some things are just never going to be easy on the environment. Like a mall, a jumbo jet or the septic tank at Rush Limbaugh's house.

New Rule: Stop swimming with the dolphins. You're not communing with nature. You're scaring the shit out of a fish. You get into the water with the dolphins and stroke them and kiss them and climb on top of them for a ride, and they pretend to enjoy it. Just like your wife. Besides, there's a much easier way to get up close with a dolphin: open a can of tuna.

And finally, New Rule: Death isn't always sad. [photo of Jerry Falwell shown] This week, the Reverend Jerry Falwell died, and millions of Americans asked, "Why? Why, God? Why didn't you take Pat Robertson with him?!" I don't want to -- I don't want to say Jerry was disliked by the gay community, but, tonight, in New York City, at exactly 8:00, Broadway theaters along the Great White Way, for two minutes, turned their lights up.

Now, I know you're not supposed to speak ill of the dead, but I think we can make an exception, because speaking ill of the dead was kind of Jerry Falwell's hobby. He was the guy who said AIDS was God's punishment for homosexuality, and that 9/11 was brought on by pagans, abortionists, feminists, gays and the ACLU. Or as I like to call them, "my studio audience."

But, I found it surreal this week watching people on the news praise Falwell, followed by a clip package of what he actually said. Things like, "Homosexuals are part of a vile and satanic system that will be utterly annihilated." "If you're a born again Christian, you're a failure as a... If you're not a born again Christian, you're a failure as a human being." "Feminists just need a man around the house." "There is no separation of church and state." And of course, everyone's favorite, "The purple Teletubby is gay."

Jerry Falwell found out that you could launder your hate through the cover of God's will. He didn't hate gays. God does. All Jerry Falwell's power came from name-dropping God. And gay people should steal that trick.

You know what? Don't say you want something because it's your right as a human being. Say you want it because it's your religion. Gay men have been going at things backwards. Forget civil rights and just make gayness a religion. I mean, you're kneeling anyway.

And it's easy to start a religion. Watch. I'll do it for you. I had a vision last night. A vision. The Blessed Virgin Mary came to me. I don't know how she got past the guards. And she told me it's high time to take the high ground from the Seventh Day Adventists and give it to the 24-Hour Party People. And that what happens in the confessional stays in the confessional.

Gay men, don't say you're life partners. Say you're a nunnery of two. "We weren't having sex, officer. I was performing a very private Mass. Here in my car. I was letting my rod and my staff comfort him."

"Take this, and eat of it, for this is my roommate, Barry."

"And for all those who truly believe, there's a special place for you, in 'Kevin.'"

And, speaking of heaven, one can only hope that as Jerry Falwell now approaches the Pearly Gates, he is met there by God Himself, wearing a Fire Island muscle shirt and nut-hugger shorts, and saying to Jerry in mighty lisp, "I'm not talking to you!"
